(Common) Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) Perna-verde-comum

An over-wintering and passage migrant species here in Portugal, Greenshanks stalk slightly deeper water than Common Redshanks, chasing after small fish and insects. Their bill is long, slightly up-curved, and blue at the base, while they sport a long, open ended and broad wedge along their back in flight.
