Melodious Warbler (Hippolais polyglotta) Felosa-poliglota

Melodious Warblers are a summer visitor, arriving relatively late in the final week of April and leaving in October. They have a light yellow cast to their chin and belly with a light green back and wings and a "square" head.

Once they've arrived they're fairly easy to find and see as they sing loudly from an exposed branch and are tolerant of the proximity of gentle people with binoculars.

However, very sadly this beautiful and, dare I say it, melodic species is declining in numbers. This seems to be an unhappy trend in several long-distance migrants and points to a worldwide problem for migratory species.
