Blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla) Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto

Blackcap Warblers are a resident species and relatively common. The females and juvenile males have a rusty-brown cap, with the adult male alone displaying the nominate black cap. Males also sing beautifully and for us the song is the sound of spring - before they're drowned out by Nightingales.

Easily found at all times of the year in the Quinta's gardens.
